The Prophet ﷺ said, "The person receiving the lightest punishment among the people of the Fire will be one wearing two sandals from which his brain boils."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: أهون أهل النار عذابا عليه نعلان يغلي منها دماغه.
Ahmad (9576), Ibn Hibban (7472), and Hakim (4/580) all narrated it through the route of Muhammad bin Ajlan, who said, "I heard my father narrating from Abu Hurairah," and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ajlan and his father, for both of them are hasan al-hadith. As for what has been mentioned regarding Muhammad bin Ajlan's confusion in the hadiths of Abu Hurairah, the correct view is that he used to narrate from Saeed Maqburi, from Abu Hurairah, and also from a man, from Abu Hurairah, and this became confused for him, so he attributed all of it to the hadiths of Maqburi from Abu Hurairah. This one, however, is not from that confusion.
