The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "A neck will come forth from the Fire and speak, saying, 'I have been entrusted today with three: every tyrant, anyone who set up another god alongside Allah, and anyone who killed a soul without right.' Then it will fold over them and hurl them into the depths of Hell."
عن نبي الله ﷺ أنه قال: يخرج عنق من النار يتكلم يقول: وكلت اليوم بثلاثة: بكل جبار، وبمن جعل مع الله إلها آخر، وبمن قتل نفسا بغير نفس، فينطوي عليهم، فيقذفهم في غمرات جهنم.
Ahmad (11354), Ibn Abu Shayba (35278), Abu Yaala (1146), and Bazzar in Kashf Astar (3500) all narrated it through various chains from Atiya, from Abu Saeed, who mentioned it. In the chain is Atiya, who is Ibn Saad Awfi, and there is weakness in him. However, Tabarani narrated it in Awsat (320) through another route from Saad bin Ubayda, from Abu Saeed Khudri, with similar wording. This strengthens the first chain, and Saad bin Ubayda is Sulami, who is trustworthy.Something of similar meaning has been narrated from Ayesha, who said, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, will a loved one remember his loved one on the Day of Resurrection?" He said, "O Ayesha, at three moments, no. At the scale, until it becomes heavy or light, no. And at the scattering of the records, when a person is given his record either in his right hand or his left hand, no. And when a neck emerges from the Fire and coils around them, raging at them, that neck will say, 'I have been assigned to three, I have been assigned to three, I have been assigned to three. I have been assigned to whoever claimed another god alongside Allah, I have been assigned to whoever does not believe in the Day of Judgment, and I have been assigned to every obstinate tyrant.'" He said, "It will coil around them and hurl them into the depths. Hell has a bridge finer than a hair and sharper than a sword, upon which are hooks and thorns that seize whomever Allah wills. People will cross it like the blink of an eye, like a flash of lightning, like the wind, like the finest of horses, and like riding beasts, while the angels say, 'Lord, grant safety, Lord, grant safety.' So some will be saved safely, some will be scratched but saved, and some will be tumbled headlong into the Fire."Ahmad (24793) narrated this from Yahya bin Ishaq, who said, Ibn Lahia informed us, from Khalid bin Abu Imran, from Qasim bin Muhammad, from Ayesha, who mentioned it. In the chain is Ibn Lahia, concerning whom there is well-known discussion, and it contains additions not found in the other narrations.
