Some men were either boasting or simply discussing the question of whether men or women would be more numerous in Paradise.Abu Hurairah said, "Did not Abu Qasim ﷺ say, 'The first group to enter Paradise will appear like the moon on the night of a full moon, and the group that follows them will shine like the brightest star in the sky. Each man among them will have two wives, the marrow of whose shin-bones can be seen through the flesh, and there will be no unmarried person in Paradise.'"
إما تفاخروا وإما تذاكروا: الرجال في الجنة أكثر أم النساء؟ فقال أبو هريرة: أو لم يقل أبو القاسم ﷺ: إن أول زمرة تدخل الجنة على صورة القمر ليلة البدر، والتي تليها على أضوا كوكب دري في السماء، لكل امرئ منهم زوجتان اثنتان، يرى مخ سوقهما من وراء اللحم، وما في الجنة أعزب؟
Muslim narrated it in "Paradise, Its Bliss and Its People" (2834), through several chains, from Ismail bin Ulaya, who said, Ayub told us, from Muhammad bin Sirin, who said, and then he mentioned it.The hadith, in similar wording, is found in the Sahihayn through the narration of Abu Zura and Hammam bin Munabbih from Abu Hurairah, and it has already been mentioned in the preceding chapter.
