While we were with Amr bin As during a Hajj or Umra, he said, "While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in this mountain pass, he said, 'Look, do you see anything?'We replied, 'We see crows, among them one with white markings, with a red beak and red legs.'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, 'No woman will enter Paradise except one who is among women like this crow is among crows.'"
بينما نحن مع عمرو بن العاص في حج أو عمرة، فقال: بينما نحن مع رسول الله ﷺ في هذا الشعب إذ قال: انظروا، هل ترون شيئا؟ فقلنا: نرى غربانا فيها غراب أعصم أحمر المنقار والرجلين. فقال رسول الله ﷺ لا يدخل الجنة من النساء إلا من كان منهن مثل هذا الغراب في الغربان.
Narrated by Ahmad (17770) — and this is his wording — Abu Yaala (7343), and Hakim (4/602), all of them through the route of Hammad bin Salama, who said, Abu Jafar Khatami narrated to us, from Umara bin Khuzayma bin Thabit, who said, and then he mentioned it. Its chain is sahih.Abu Jafar is Umayr bin Yazid bin Umayr Ansari, a trustworthy narrator. He was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Main, Nasai, Ibn Mahdi, and others.Haythami said in Majmaa (4/274), "Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy."As for his statement, "like this crow among crows," it means the scarcity of women entering Paradise, comparable to the scarcity of this type of crow.
