I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "I hope that those who follow me from my nation on the Day of Resurrection will be a quarter of the people of Paradise."We proclaimed Allah's greatness.He said, "I hope they will be a third of the people of Paradise."We proclaimed Allah's greatness.He said, "I hope they will be half."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: أرجو أن يكون من يتبعني من أمتي يوم القيامة، ربع أهل الجنة قال: فكبرنا. قال: أرجو أن يكونوا ثلث أهل الجنة قال: فكبرنا. قال: أرجو أن يكونوا الشطر.
Ahmad (15114) and Bazzar in Kashf Astar (3533) both narrated it through the route of Ibn Jurayj, who said, Abu Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir bin Abdullah say, then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Zubayr, for his hadith is hasan. Haythami said in Majma (10/403), "Ahmad, Bazzar, and Tabarani narrated it, and the narrators of Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih, and likewise one of the two chains of Ahmad."
