The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The believers will be saved from the Fire, then they will be detained on a bridge between Paradise and the Fire. There they will settle the wrongs that passed between them in the worldly life, until once they have been purified and cleansed, they will be granted permission to enter Paradise. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, each of them will know his dwelling in Paradise better than he knew his dwelling in the world."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: يخلص المؤمنون من النار، فيحبسون على قنطرة بين الجنة والنار، فيقص لبعضهم من بعض مظالم كانت بينهم في الدنيا، حتى إذا هذبوا ونقوا أذن لهم في دخول الجنة، فوالذي نفس محمد بيده، لأحدهم أهدى بمنزله في الجنة منه بمنزله كان في الدنيا.
Bukhari narrated it in the Chapter on Heart-Softening Matters (6535), from Salit bin Muhammad, who said, Yazid bin Zuray narrated to us, who said, Saeed narrated to us, from Qatada, from Abu Mutawakkil Naji, that Abu Saeed Khudri said, and then he mentioned it.
