Aisha reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People will be raised barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised. The sweat will not gag them, though it will reach the lobes of their ears."She said, "Messenger of Allah, how shameful! Will we be looking at one another?"He replied, "People will be too preoccupied for that." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited, "On that Day a man will flee from his brother, his mother, his father, his wife, and his children. Each of them, that Day, will have concern enough to occupy him." [Abasa 80:34–37]
Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in al-Ahad wal-Mathani (3066), Tabarani in al-Kabir (24/34), and Hakim (2/514–515), and the wording is his, all of them through Muhammad bin Abu Ayyash, from Ata bin Yasar, from Sawda, wife of the Prophet ﷺ, who said, and she mentioned it.Hakim said, "This is a sahih hadith according to the criterion of Muslim." I say, its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Abu Ayyash, a group of narrators reported from him, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators. So this hadith is graded hasan because it has a basis supporting its meaning, and he is not among the narrators of the six books.Ibn Kathir said in al-Bidayah wal-Nihayah (19/374), "Its chain is good, and it is not in the Musnad, nor in the books," meaning the six books. His saying, "ghurlan," with the ghayn pronounced with damma, and the ra with sukoon, means uncircumcised, the plural of aghral, which refers to one who has not been circumcised, so his ghurlah remains, which is his qulfah, the piece of skin that is cut off in circumcision. Its meaning is that they will be gathered just as they were created, with nothing missing from them, even the foreskin will be with them. This was explained by Nawawi in his commentary on Sahih Muslim.
