The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A fire will come forth from Hadramawt, or from the direction of the sea of Hadramawt, before the Day of Resurrection, gathering the people."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, what do you command us to do?"He replied, "Hold fast to Sham."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ستخرج نار من حضرموت أو من نحو بحر حضرموت قبل يوم القيامة تحشر الناس. قالوا: يا رسول الله فما تأمرنا؟ قال: عليكم بالشام.
Tirmidhi (2217), Ahmad (5146), and Ibn Hibban (7305), who graded it sahih, all narrated it through routes going back to Yahya bin Abu Kathir, who said, "Abu Qilaba narrated to me, saying, 'Salim bin Abdullah narrated to me, saying, "Abdullah bin Umar narrated to me,"'" and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith from the hadith of Ibn Umar."
