The Prophet ﷺ came upon us while we were discussing something, and he asked, "What are you discussing?"They replied, "We are discussing the Hour."He said, "It will not come until you see ten signs before it." He then mentioned them, among which he said, "The last of these will be a fire that emerges from Yemen, driving the people to their place of gathering."In another narration, "And a fire will emerge from the depths of Aden, driving the people onward."In another narration, "It will halt with them when they halt, and rest with them at midday when they rest."In another narration, "And a wind that will cast the people into the sea."
اطلع النبي ﷺ ونحن نتذاكر، فقال: ما تذاكرون؟ قالوا: نذكر الساعة. قال: إنها لن تقوم حتى ترون قبلها عشر آيات. فذكرها، ومنها قال: وآخر ذلك نار تخرج من اليمن تطرد الناس إلى محشرهم. وفي رواية: ونار تخرج من قعرة عدن ترحل الناس. وفي رواية: تنزل معهم إذا نزلوا، وتقيل معهم إذا قالوا. وفي رواية وريح تلقي الناس في البحر.
Muslim narrated it in Fitan (2901) through several routes from Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Furat Qazzaz, from Abu Tufayl, from Huzaifa bin Usayd Ghifari, and he mentioned it. The other narrations are also found in Muslim.As for his statement, "it descends with them...", this is a description of the fire, as is made clear in Musannaf Ibn Abu Shayba (38697). As for his statement, "and the last of these is a fire that comes out from Yemen", it is called the last of the signs in relation to the signs mentioned in this particular hadith. As for what comes in the hadith of Anas that follows, "as for the first of the signs of the Hour, it is a fire that gathers the people", it is called the first in the sense that it is the first sign after which there is nothing left of the affairs of this world, rather with the ending of these signs the blowing of the trumpet occurs.
