The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Dajjal will emerge during a time when religion has become weak and knowledge has receded. He will have forty days during which he will roam the earth. One of those days will be like a year, one like a month, one like a week, and the rest of his days will be like your ordinary days. He will have a donkey that he rides, the width between its ears being forty cubits. He will say to the people, 'I am your Lord,' though he is one-eyed, and your Lord is not one-eyed. Written between his eyes will be the word 'kafir,' spelled out letter by letter, k-f-r, which every believer will be able to read, whether literate or illiterate. He will visit every spring and watering place except Madinah and Makkah, which Allah will forbid to him, with the angels standing guard at their gates. With him will be mountains of bread, while the people will be in dire hardship, except for those who follow him.He will have two rivers with him. I know better what they truly are than he does. One river he will call Paradise, and one he will call the Fire. Whoever enters the one he names Paradise will actually be entering the Fire, and whoever enters the one he names the Fire will actually be entering Paradise.Allah will send devils with him who will speak to the people, and he will bring a tremendous trial. He will command the sky and it will rain in the people's sight. He will kill a person and then bring him back to life in the people's sight, but he will have no power over anyone besides that person. He will say, 'People, does anyone do such things except the Lord?' The Muslims will flee to the mountain of smoke in Sham. He will come and besiege them, tightening the siege upon them and putting them to severe hardship. Then Isa son of Maryam will descend and call out at the time of dawn, 'People, what prevents you from coming out against this wicked liar?' They will say, 'This is a man from the jinn,' and they will set off. When they reach him, they will find Isa son of Maryam ﷺ, and the prayer will be called. It will be said to him, 'Step forward, Spirit of Allah.'He will reply, 'Let your imam step forward and lead you in prayer.'When he has finished the dawn prayer, they will go out to confront Dajjal. The moment the liar sees him, he will dissolve as salt dissolves in water. Isa will walk toward him and kill him, until even the tree and the stone will call out, 'Spirit of Allah, here is a Jew.' He will not leave a single one of Dajjal's followers alive without killing him."
Ahmad (14954) narrated it from Muhammad bin Sabiq, who said, Ibrahim bin Tahman narrated to us, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir bin Abdullah, and he related it.Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih and included it in Kitab Tawhid (55), and Hakim (4/530) also narrated it, both of them through the route of Ibrahim bin Tahman with his chain, as a portion of the hadith. Hakim said, "This hadith has a sahih chain of transmission."Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Zubayr.
