The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I was shown Laylat al-Qadr, then I was made to forget it. And I was shown the false messiah of misguidance. I saw two men quarreling, so I intervened between them, and because of that I was made to forget Laylat al-Qadr. So seek it in the odd nights of the last ten. As for the false messiah of misguidance, he is a man with a broad forehead, his left eye wiped out, broad in the upper chest, as though he were Abd al-Uzza bin Qatan."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: أريت ليلة القدر ثم أنسيتها، وأريت مسيح الضلالة، فرأيت رجلين يتلاحيان فحجزت بينهما، فأنسيتها فاطلبوها في العشر الأواخر وترا، فأما مسيح الضلالة فرجل أجلى الجبهة، ممسوح العين اليسرى، عريض النحر كأنه عبد العزى بن قطن.
Bazzar reported it (3698) and this is his wording, as did Ibn Abu Shayba in Al-Musannaf (8776, 38613), and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (18/334–335), all of them through routes from Asim bin Kulayb, from his father, from his maternal uncle Al-Faltan bin Asim, who mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Asim bin Kulayb and his father, for both of them make the hadith hasan. Abdul-Uzza bin Qatan was a man from Khuza who died during the Jahiliyyah.
