Ayesha reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "An army will march to attack the Kaabah, and when they reach a desert plain, the earth will swallow up the first and the last of them."Aisha said, "I asked, 'Messenger of Allah, how can the first and the last of them be swallowed up when among them are their merchants and people who are not part of them?'"He replied, "The first and the last of them will be swallowed up, then they will be resurrected according to their intentions."In another version from her, she said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stirred restlessly in his sleep. We said, "Messenger of Allah, you did something in your sleep that you do not usually do."He answered, "How astonishing! Some people from my nation will set out for the Sacred House seeking a man from Quraysh who has taken refuge at the House. When they reach the desert plain, they will be swallowed up by the earth."We said, "Messenger of Allah, but the road brings together all kinds of people."He said, "Yes. Among them will be the one who joins them knowingly, the one compelled against his will, and the traveler passing through. They will all perish together, but they will be resurrected by different fates. Allah will resurrect them according to their intentions."
