The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Lightning strikes will become frequent as the Hour draws near, to the point that a man will come to a group of people and ask, 'Who was struck this morning?' and they will reply, 'So-and-so and so-and-so were struck.'"
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: تكثر الصواعق عند اقتراب الساعة حتى يأتي الرجل القوم فيقول: من صعق تلكم الغداة فيقولون: صعق فلان وفلان.
Ahmad narrated it (11620), and Hakim graded it sahih (4/444), both from the hadith of Muhammad bin Musab Qurqasani, who said, Umara Mawli narrated to us, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Saeed Khudri, who mentioned it. Its chain is sahih. Hakim said, "Sahih according to the standard of Muslim." Dhahabi commented on this by saying, "Umara is trustworthy, but they did not narrate from him."I say, Umara is trustworthy, Ahmad and Ibn Main declared him trustworthy, and Muhammad bin Musab is disputed, but he has been corroborated. He was corroborated by Qurra bin Habib, who is trustworthy, in Abu Shaykh's Azamah (787).
