I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "They will leave Madinah in the best state it has ever been in, with none frequenting it except wild beasts and birds of prey." By "wild beasts" he meant the predators that scavenge for prey."The last to be gathered will be two shepherds from Mazina heading toward Madinah, calling out to their flocks. They will find it desolate and overrun with wild animals, and when they reach Thaniyyat al-Wada, they will fall down on their faces."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: يتركون المدينة على خير ما كانت، لا يغشاها إلا العواف- يريد عوافي السباع والطير- وآخر من يحشر راعيان من مزينة يريدان المدينة ينعقان بغنمهما فيجدانها وحشا حتى إذا بلغا ثنية الوداع خرا على وجوههما.
