Abu Hurairah reported,

A wolf came upon a shepherd tending his flock and seized one of the sheep. The shepherd pursued the wolf until he wrested the sheep back from him. The wolf then climbed atop a hill, sat back on his haunches, and lashed his tail, saying, "You went after a provision that Allah عز وجل had granted me and snatched it away from me."The man exclaimed, "By Allah, I have never seen anything like this day, a wolf that speaks!"The wolf replied, "More astonishing than this is a man among the palm trees between the two lava fields, who tells you of what has passed and what is to come after you."The man was a Jew. He went to the Prophet ﷺ, embraced Islam, and told him what had happened. The Prophet ﷺ confirmed his account, then said, "This is one of the signs heralding the Hour. The time is near when a man will leave his home and not return before his sandals and his whip tell him what his family did after him."
