The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is soon to be that the world will be dominated by the lowly son of the lowly son of the lowly, and the best of people will be a believer between two noble parents."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: يوشك أن يغلب على الدنيا لكع بن لكع بن لكع، وأفضل الناس مؤمن بين كريمين.
Tahawi narrated it in Sharh Mushkil (2051) from Ahmad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Wahb, who said, "My uncle Abdullah bin Wahb narrated to us, Ibrahim bin Saad Zuhri informed me, from Zuhri, who said, 'Abdul-Malik bin Abu Bakr bin Abdul-Rahman bin Harith bin Hisham informed me, from his father, who said, "A man among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ informed me,"'" and then he related it. Its chain is hasan because of Ahmad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Wahb, for his hadith is hasan so long as he does not bring something that is rejected of him.The hadith has also been narrated as a stopped report, for Ahmad (23651) narrated it from Abu Kamil, "Ibrahim bin Saad narrated to us," with this same chain, except that he did not raise it to the Prophet. The ruling belongs to whoever raises it.Of similar meaning is what was narrated from Huzaifa bin Yaman, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until the happiest of people in this world is Lukaa bin Lukaa." Tirmidhi (2209) and Ahmad (23303) both narrated it, both by way of Amr bin Abu Amr, from Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman Ansari Ashhali, from Huzaifa bin Yaman, and then he related it. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan hadith, we only know it through the hadith of Amr bin Abu Amr."I say, Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman Ashhali was narrated from solely by Amr bin Abu Amr, and no one deemed him reliable except that Ibn Hibban mentioned him among his trustworthy narrators, following his own principle of deeming reliable anyone in whom no defect is known. Ibn Main said, "I do not know him."On this subject there is also what is reported from Abu Hurairah, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This world will not pass away until it belongs to Lukaa bin Lukaa." Ahmad (8697, 8322, 8320m) and Ibn Adi in Al-Kamil (2016) both narrated it, both by way of Kamil Abu Ala, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, and then he related it.Abu Salih is the freedman of Dubaa, whose name was Mina. No one narrated from him except Abu Ala, and no one deemed him reliable except Ibn Hibban, so his status is unknown. Al-Hafiz said in Taqrib, "His hadith is weak." Kamil Abu Ala is a matter of disagreement.
