I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The world will not come to an end until it falls into the hands of the lowest of the low, son of the lowest of the low."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: لن تذهب الدنيا حتى تكون عند لكع بن لكع.
Narrated by Ahmad (15837) and Ibn Abu Shayba (38895), both through the route of Walid bin Abdullah bin Jami, who said, Abu Bakr bin Abu Jahm narrated to me, from Abu Burda bin Niyar, and he related it. In Ahmad's version there is a story at the beginning. Its chain is hasan because of Walid bin Abdullah bin Jami, for his hadith is hasan. As for his saying, "the little rascal, son of a little rascal" (lukaa on the pattern of Zafar), among the Arabs it meant slave, then it came to be used for the fool and the base person.
