Some men of the Ansar reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "I was sent, and the Hour is like these two," indicating that he preceded the Hour by an instant.
عن بعض رجال الأنصار أن النبي ﷺ قال: بعثت أنا والساعة كهاتين، فسبقتها في نفس الساعة.

Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it in his Musnad (948), and Tabarani in al-Kabir (22/391), from whom Abu Naeem also narrated it in al-Hilya (4/161), all of them through the route of Shubayl bin Awf, from Abu Jubayra, from some men of the Ansar, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. It has also been narrated from Abu Jubayra, from the Prophet ﷺ. Both versions are sahih, for Abu Jubayra is a companion according to the majority of scholars.As for what has been narrated from Mustawrid bin Shaddad Fihri, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "I was sent at the very moment of the Hour, and I preceded it just as this preceded this," pointing to his index and middle fingers, its chain of transmission is daif. Tirmidhi narrated it (2213) from Muhammad bin Umar bin Hayaj Asadi, who said, Yahya bin Abdul-Rahman Arhabi narrated to us, who said, Ubayda bin Aswad narrated to us, from Mujalid, from Qays bin Abu Hazim, from Mustawrid bin Shaddad, who related it.Tirmidhi then said, "This is a gharib hadith from the narration of Mustawrid bin Shaddad, we do not know it except through this route." That is, it is daif, for Mujalid bin Saeed is daif, and there is also disagreement about its chain, since Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (20/308) through the route of Habban bin Ali, from Mujalid, from Shaybi, from Mustawrid, who related it. Habban bin Ali is Anazi, who is also daif.As for the phrase "at the very moment of the Hour," Hafiz said in al-Fath (11/349) that it is with the fa vowelled as fatha, and it is a figure of speech indicating nearness, meaning I was sent at the moment of its breathing.
