The Prophet ﷺ said, "Soon Allah will fill your hands with the non-Arabs, who will then become like lions that do not flee. They will kill your warriors and consume your spoils."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: توشكون أن يملأ الله أيديكم من العجم، ثم يكونون أسدا لا يفرون، يقتلون مقاتلتكم، ويأكلون فيئكم.
Ahmad (20181), Bazzar (4537), and Tabarani in al-Kabir (7/268) narrated it, and Hakim declared it sahih (4/512). All of them transmitted it from Affan bin Muslim, who said, Hammad bin Salama told us, Yunus bin Ubayd informed us, from Hasan, from Samura, and he related it. Bazzar said, "We do not know this hadith to be narrated from Samura except by this route, and we do not know anyone to have narrated it from Yunus except Hammad bin Salama."I say, Hammad bin Salama was not alone in narrating it from Yunus, for Hushaym bin Bashir also transmitted it from him, as found in Ahmad (20123). Hakim said, "This hadith has a sahih isnad."Yazid bin Ibrahim narrated it from Hasan, from Abu Musa, in similar wording, as found in Ruyani's Musnad (537). The more likely correct version is what Yunus bin Ubayd narrated from Hasan, from Samura, as Daraqutni affirmed decisively in al-Ilal (7/251).In the printed edition of Majma al-Zawaid (7/311), it reads, "From Abu Hurairah, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'It is about to happen that among you the non-Arabs will increase like lions that do not flee, and they will kill your fighters and consume your spoils.' Tabarani narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of sahih."I say, I have not found it in al-Saghir or al-Awsat, and as for al-Kabir, it does not contain a section for the Musnad of Abu Hurairah at all. Suyuti placed it in Jami al-Kabir under the Musnad of Abu Musa, attributing it to Tabarani, so it is possible that "from Abu Hurairah" in the printed edition of al-Zawaid is a mistake.
