The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A generation will arise who recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their throats. Every time a faction emerges, it will be cut down."Ibn Umar said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Every time a faction emerges, it will be cut down,' more than twenty times, until the Dajjal emerges among their ranks."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: ينشأ نشء يقرؤون القرآن لا يجاوز تراقيهم، كلما خرج قرن قطع، قال ابن عمر: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: كلما خرج قرن قطع، أكثر من عشرين مرة، حتى يخرج في عراضهم الدجال.
Ibn Majah (174) narrated it from Hisham bin Ammar, who said, Yahya bin Hamza narrated to us, who said, Uzai narrated to us, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Hisham bin Ammar, for his hadith is hasan.
