The Prophet ﷺ woke from sleep with his face flushed, saying, "There is no god but Allah. Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near. Today an opening like this has been made in the barrier of Yajuj and Majuj." Sufyan made a circle with his fingers indicating ninety or one hundred.Someone asked, "Will we be destroyed while there are still righteous people among us?"He replied, "Yes, when wickedness becomes widespread."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Tribulations (7059), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Tribulations and the Signs of the Hour (2880), both through the route of Sufyan bin Uyayna, who heard Zuhri, from Urwa, from Zaynab bint Umm Salama, from Umm Habiba, from Zaynab bint Jahsh, and he related it. The wording given is Bukhari's, while in Muslim's version it adds, "And Sufyan made a circle with his hand [indicating] ten."
