The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A group from my nation will continue to stand upon the truth, prevailing over those who oppose them, until the command of Allah comes and Isa bin Maryam descends."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا تزال طائفة من أمتي على الحق ظاهرين على من نأواهم حتى يأتي أمر الله، وينزل عيسى بن مريم.
Ahmad (19851) narrated it from Bahz, who said, Hammad bin Salama told us, Qatada told us, from Mutarrif, from Imran bin Husayn, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Abu Dawud (2484) and Imam Ahmad (19920) narrated it, and Hakim graded it sahih (2/17, 4/450), all of them by another route from Hammad bin Salama with his chain, and they said in it, instead of his words "until Allah's command comes and Isa bin Maryam descends," "until the last of them fights the Messiah Dajjal." The last of them is Isa bin Maryam, because he will descend at the end of time, confirming the law of Muhammad ﷺ and renewing it, since there is no prophet after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for he is the seal of the prophets. Isa bin Maryam will therefore be among his nation, and he is the one who will fight Dajjal and destroy him.
