I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "A group from my nation will continue to uphold the command of Allah. Those who forsake them and those who oppose them will not harm them, until the command of Allah comes while they remain in that state."
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: لا يزال من أمتي أمة قائمة بأمر الله، لا يضرهم من خذلهم، ولا من خالفهم حتى يأتيهم أمر الله، وهم على ذلك.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Virtues (3641) and Muslim in the Book of Leadership (1037:174), both from the hadith of Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid bin Jabir, from Umayr bin Hani, who said, "I heard Muawiya on the pulpit saying," and he mentioned it. The wording is Bukhari's.Bukhari added after it, Umayr said, "Malik bin Yakhamir then said, 'Muaz said, "And they are in Syria."'" Muawiya said, "This is Malik, claiming that he heard Muaz say, 'And they are in Syria.'"
