The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been sent with the most concise yet comprehensive speech, and I have been aided with awe cast into the hearts of my enemies. While I was sleeping, the keys to the treasures of the earth were brought and placed in my hands."Abu Hurairah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has departed, and you are now extracting those treasures."Bukhari added in another narration that Muhammad said, "It has reached me that 'concise yet comprehensive speech' means that Allah condenses into a single matter, or two, or thereabouts, the many matters that used to be written in the scriptures before him."
Bukhari narrated it in Itisam (7273), and Muslim in Masajid (6:523), both through Zuhri, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, as mentioned above. The second narration is found in Bukhari in Tabir (7013). His saying, "Muhammad said," refers to Muhammad bin Shihab Zuhri.
