The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it concerns the matters of your worldly life, then it is your affair, but if it concerns the matters of your religion, then it falls to me."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن كان أمر دنياكم فشأنكم، وإن كان أمر دينكم فإلي.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (22546) from Yazid bin Harun, who said, Hammad bin Salama told us, from Thabit, from Abdullah bin Rabah, from Abu Qatada, who said, and he related it in a lengthy narration. Its chain is sahih. Muslim also narrated (681) this story at length, and it is mentioned in the Book of Prayer, in the chapter on one who forgets a prayer and should pray it when he remembers, from Jami Kamil, except that he did not mention the specific point being cited.
