The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by his companions while they were sitting waiting for him. When he came out, he stopped beside them and sat down, then said, "Do you not bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and do you not bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah, and do you not bear witness that this Quran is from Allah ?"They replied, "Yes, we bear witness to that."He ﷺ said, "Rejoice, for this Quran is a rope from Allah Most High. One end is in the hand of Allah Most High, and the other end is in your hands. So hold fast to it, and you will never go astray nor perish after it."
Ahmad bin Mani Baghawi narrated it in his Musnad (3496 - Matalib Aliyah) from Abu Nadr (that is, Hashim bin Qasim), who said, Layth (that is, Ibn Saad) narrated to us, who said, Saeed bin Abu Saeed (that is, Maqburi) narrated to me, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is sahih.
