Tabarani narrated it in Awsat (Majma Bahrayn 257) from Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Abu Khaythama, who said, Muhammad bin Salih Adawi told us, Abdul-Majid bin Abdul-Aziz told us, from his father, from Ataa, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.Munziri said in Targheeb wa Tarheeb (62), "Tabarani narrated it from the hadith of Abu Hurairah with a chain that is not problematic."Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Salih Adawi. More than one person narrated from him, including leading scholars and memorizers of hadith such as Tabari, Bazzar, and Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Abu Khaythama, but I have not seen anyone who wrote a biography of him. Abu Awana included his narration in his Mustakhraj. Perhaps this is why Munziri said, "Its chain is not problematic."Haythami said in Majma al-Zawaid (1/172), "It contains Muhammad bin Salih Adawi, and I have not seen anyone who wrote a biography of him, but the rest of its men are reliable." It also contains Abdul-Majid bin Abdul-Aziz and his father, and they made the hadith hasan.
