The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you truly believes until his desires are subject to what I have brought."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يكون هواه تبعا لما جئت به.

Hasan bin Sufyan Nasawi narrated it in Arbaeen (9), and through his route Harawi in Dhamm Kalam (320), Bayhaqi in Madkhal ila Sunan al-Kubra (209), and Khatib in his Tarikh (4/369), all of them through the route of Naeem bin Hammad, who said, Abdul-Wahhab bin Abdul-Majid Thaqafi narrated to us, from Hisham bin Hassan, from Muhammad bin Sirin, from Uqbah bin Aws, from Abdullah bin Amr, and he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Naeem bin Hammad, for there is disagreement about him, except that his hadith is graded hasan when his error is not apparent. This hadith was not mentioned by Ibn Adi in Kamil, even though he traced the errors Naeem bin Hammad made, and he said, "The rest of his hadith is sound." Nawawi graded it sahih in Arbaeen, and Abu Naeem included it in his Kitab al-Arbaeen, having stipulated at the outset that its contents be drawn from sound reports and excellent narrations whose transmitters were unanimously agreed to be of upright character, and the imams included it in their Masanid. The hadith has been criticized on several grounds, the most important of which is that Naeem bin Hammad transmitted it alone, and it was on this ground that Bayhaqi criticized it in Madkhal. For this reason I once ruled it daif, but it has now become clear to me that not every hadith transmitted solely by Naeem bin Hammad is daif, rather some of what he transmits alone is sound and some is not. See the remaining criticisms in Jami Ulum wa Hikam (hadith forty-one).The meaning of this hadith occurs in the Quran in more than one place, including His saying,"But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no resistance to your decision and submit in full submission" [Nisa 4:65]and His saying,"It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, to have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error" [Ahzab 33:36]
