Asma bint Abu Bakr al-Siddiq reported, "I came to Ayesha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, when the sun was eclipsed. The people were standing in prayer, and she too was standing, praying. I asked, 'What is wrong with the people?'She gestured with her hand toward the sky and said, 'Glory be to Allah.'I asked, 'Is this a sign?'She gestured that it was. So I stood in prayer until I nearly fainted, and I began pouring water over my head."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praised Allah and extolled Him, then said, "There is nothing I had not seen before that I have now seen from this place of mine, even Paradise and Hell. It has been revealed to me that you will be tested in your graves with a trial like, or close to, the trial of Dajjal." (Asma said, I do not know which of the two she said.) "Each one of you will be brought, and it will be said to him, 'What do you know about this man?'As for the believer, or the one with certainty," (Asma said, I do not know which of the two she said,) "he will say, 'He is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He came to us with clear proofs and guidance, so we responded, believed, and followed him.'It will be said to him, 'Sleep in righteousness. We knew you were indeed a believer.'But as for the hypocrite, or the doubter," (Asma said, I do not know which of the two she said,) "he will say, 'I do not know. I heard the people saying something, so I said it too.'"
