The Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca, and around the Kaabah there were three hundred and sixty idols. He began striking them with a stick in his hand, saying, "Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is ever bound to vanish" [Isra 17:81].
دخل النبي ﷺ مكة، وحول الكعبة ثلاث مائة وستون نصبا، فجعل يطعنها بعود في يده، وجعل يقول: {جاء الحق وزهق الباطل إن الباطل كان زهوقا} [سورة الإسراء: ٨١].
Bukhari narrated it in Wrongs (3478), and Muslim in jihad (1781), both from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Ibn Abu Najeeh, from Mujahid, from Abu Muamar, from Abdullah, and he related it.In one version, "an idol."In another version, "on the day of the conquest."In another version, "He also recited, "Say, 'The truth has come, and falsehood can neither create anew nor repeat.'"
