The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from the expedition of Tabuk, or Khaybar, and there was a curtain hanging across her alcove. A gust of wind blew and lifted a corner of the curtain, revealing some dolls belonging to Ayesha. He asked, "What is this, Ayesha?"She replied, "My daughters."Among them he noticed a horse with two wings made of cloth patches, so he asked, "What is this I see in the middle of them?"She said, "A horse."He asked, "And what is this on it?"She replied, "Two wings."He said, "A horse with two wings?"She answered, "Have you not heard that Sulayman had horses with wings?"She said, "He laughed until I could see his back teeth."
Reported by Abu Dawud (4932), Ibn Hibban (5864), and Bayhaqi (10/219), all of them through the hadith of Yahya bin Ayub, from Umara bin Ghaziya, from Abu Nadr, from Urwa, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Yahya bin Ayub Ghafiqi, for his hadith is hasan. Her saying, "and in her sahwa there was a curtain," the sahwa resembles a shelf or a niche.
