Aisha said, "I used to play with dolls in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, and I had friends who would play with me. Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered, they would shrink away in shyness, so he would send them in to me to play with me."
كنت ألعب بالبنات عند النبي ﷺ، وكان لي صواحب يلعبن معي، فكان رسول الله ﷺ إذا دخل يتقمعن منه، فيسربهن إلي فيلعبن معي.
Bukhari narrated it in Adab (6130), and this is his wording, and Muslim narrated it in Fadail al-Sahabah (2440), both from the hadith of Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Her saying, "yataqamma'na," means "they hide themselves." And her saying, "fa yusarribuhunna," means "he sends them off."
