The Prophet ﷺ had a ring made and said, "I have taken a ring and engraved an inscription upon it, so let no one else engrave the same inscription on his ring." The narrator said, "I can still picture its gleam on his little finger."
صنع النبي ﷺ خاتما قال: إنا اتخذنا خاتما، ونقشنا فيه نقشا، فلا ينقش عليه أحد. قال: فإني لأرى بريقه في خنصره.
Bukhari related it in "Clothing" (5874), from Abu Muamar (that is, Abdullah bin Amr), who said, Abdul-Warith narrated to us, who said, Abdul-Aziz bin Suhayb narrated to us, from Anas, and he related it. There is further discussion on this topic. See, "As-Seerah An-Nabawiyyah."
