Umar said, "Messenger of Allah, both the righteous and the wicked enter upon you. Why not command the Mothers of the Believers to observe the veil?" So Allah revealed the verse of the veil.
قال عمر يا رسول الله يدخل عليك البر والفاجر، فلو أمرت أمهات المؤمنين بالحجاب فأنزل الله آية الحجاب.
