A woman asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Messenger of Allah, my daughter has been struck with measles and her hair has fallen out. I have given her in marriage. May I attach extensions to her hair?"He replied, "Allah has cursed the woman who attaches hair extensions and the woman who has them attached."
سألت امرأة النبي ﷺ فقالت: يا رسول الله، إن ابنتي أصابتها الحصبة، فامرق شعرها، وإني زوجتها، أفأصل فيه؟ فقال: لعن الله الواصلة والموصولة.
Bukhari reported it in the Book of Clothing (5941), and Muslim in the Book of Clothing (2122:115), both through the route of Hisham bin Urwa, from Fatimah bint Munzir, from Asma bint Abu Bakr, who related it.His saying, "famruq," and in Sahih Muslim, "fatamruq," with the plain ra.
