A woman who tattooed others was brought before Umar. He stood up and said, "I implore you by Allah, who has heard anything from the Prophet ﷺ concerning tattooing?"Abu Hurairah said, "I stood up and said, 'Commander of the Believers, I have heard something.'"Umar asked, "What did you hear?"He replied, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Do not tattoo others and do not have yourselves tattooed.'"
أتي عمر بامرأة تشم، فقام فقال: أنشدكم بالله، من سمع من النبي ﷺ في الوشم؟ فقال أبو هريرة: فقمت فقلت: يا أمير المؤمنين أنا سمعت، قال: ما سمعت؟ قال: سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: لا تشمن ولا تستوشمن.
