Ukaydir of Dumah sent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a silk robe as a gift, and this was before the Prophet of Allah ﷺ had forbidden silk. He put it on, and the people marveled at it. The Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is Muhammad's soul, the handkerchiefs of Saad in Paradise are finer than this."
Ahmad narrated it (13455) from Abdul-Wahhab, from Saeed, from Qatada, from Anas, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Saeed bin Abu Aruba, although his memory became confused later in life, was one of the most reliable narrators when it came to Qatada.
