Atarid bin Hajib brought with him a garment of brocade that Khosrow had clothed him in.Umar said, "Messenger of Allah, why not buy it?"He replied, "Only one who has no share in the Hereafter wears this."
أن عطارد بن حاجب قدم معه بثوب ديباج كساه إياه كسرى فقال عمر: يا رسول الله لو اشتريته؟ فقال: إنما يلبسه من لا خلاق له.
Narrated by Ahmad (26469) and Tabarani in al-Kabir (23/206), both from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama, from Anas bin Sirin, from Abu Majliz, who is Lahiq bin Humayd, from Hafsa, and he related it. Its chain is sahih.His saying, "he has no share," means he has no portion in the hereafter.
