The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever wears silk in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: من لبس الحرير في الدنيا لم يلبسه في الآخرة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Clothing (5834), and Muslim in the Book of Clothing (2069:11), both from the hadith of Shubah, from Abu Dhibyan Khalifah bin Kaab, who said, I heard Ibn Zubayr say, I heard Umar say, and he mentioned it.The wording is Bukhari's. Muslim's wording is, I heard Abdullah bin Zubayr delivering a sermon, saying, "Do not let your women wear silk, for I heard Umar bin Khattab say," and he mentioned it.His statement, "Do not let your women wear silk," was his own personal judgment.
