Ibn Abu Layla reported,

Hudhayfah was in al-Madain when he asked for water, and a local landlord brought it to him in a silver vessel. He threw it at him and said, "I only threw it at him because I had forbidden him from this and he did not stop. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Gold, silver, silk, and brocade are for them in this world and for you in the hereafter.'"Wazad added in another narration, "And that we sit upon it."
