I came to the Prophet ﷺ with a need. He noticed traces of saffron perfume on me and said, "Go and wash it off."So I washed it off and returned to him.He said again, "Go and wash it off."I went, and I lowered myself into a well and took hold of a fur garment, using it to wipe the perfume away. Then I returned to him.He said, "Now, what is your need?"
أتيت النبي ﷺ ولي حاجة، فرأى على خلوقا فقال: اذهب، فاغسله، فغسلته، ثم عدت إليه فقال: اذهب فاغسله، فذهبت، فوقعت في بئر، فأخذت مستقة، فجعلت أتتبعه، ثم عدت إليه فقال: حاجتك
Ahmad narrated it (17013) from Muhammad, that is Ibn Jafar, [who said], Shuba narrated to us, from Ishaq, that is Ibn Suwayd, from Abu Habiba, and he related it.Its isnad is hasan because of Abu Habiba, who was the freedman of Zubayr bin Awwam. Ibn Hibban and Ajli deemed him trustworthy, and Ishaq bin Suwayd narrated from him, as did also Musa bin Uqba and Abu Aswad Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman, as mentioned in Tajil (1248).Abu Ahmad Hakim said in Kuna, "His hadith belongs to the people of Madinah. No hearing has been recorded for him, though there is nothing here to prevent that he did hear directly."
