The Prophet ﷺ said, "There was a short woman from the Children of Israil who used to walk between two tall women. So she fashioned for herself wooden legs, and a hollow gold ring with a clasp which she filled with musk, the finest of perfumes. Then she passed between the two women, and people could not recognize her. She gestured with her hand like this." And Shuba shook his hand to demonstrate.
Muslim narrated it in "Words from Manners" (2252:18), from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, who said, "Abu Usama narrated to us, from Shuba," who said, "Khulayd bin Jafar narrated to me, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Saeed Khudri," and he mentioned it.
