The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not pluck out grey hairs. There is no Muslim who grows a grey hair in Islam except that it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection."In another narration, "except that Allah records for him by it a good deed, and erases by it a sin."
Narrated by Abu Dawud (4202), Tirmidhi (2821), Nasai (5068), Ibn Majah (3721), and Ahmad (6672), all of them from the hadith of Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb, for his hadith is hasan, and likewise that of his father. There is nothing in the hadith that indicates disapproval of dyeing.
