The Prophet ﷺ followed a man from Thakeef, jogging behind him until he caught hold of his garment and said, "Raise your lower garment."The man uncovered his knees and said, "Messenger of Allah, I am bow-legged and my knees knock against each other."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Everything Allah has created is beautiful."After that, the man was never seen except with his lower garment reaching to the middle of his shins.
Ahmad (19472) narrated it from Rawh, who said, Zakariya bin Ishaq narrated to us, Ibrahim bin Maysara narrated to us, that he heard Amr bin Shareed narrating from his father, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. His saying, "I am hanaf," comes from hanaf, which is the turning of the foot with its toes toward the other foot, since the root meaning of hanaf is inclination. His saying, "my knees knock together," means that one of them strikes the other while walking.
