Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Clothing (5857), from Hajjaj bin Minhal, who said, Hammam narrated to us, from Qatada, who said, Anas narrated to us, and he mentioned it.His saying, "two straps," the singular of which is "strap" (with a short vowel on the qaf), refers to the thong of the sandal, which is the strap that goes between the toes. This is as stated in Nihayah. The word "sandal" may be used to refer to anything worn on the feet.
