I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Mina delivering a sermon on a mule, wearing a red cloak, with Ali in front of him relaying his words.
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ بمنى يخطب على بغلة، وعليه برد أحمر وعلي أمامه يعبر عنه.
Abu Dawud (4073) and Ahmad (15920) both narrated it from Abu Muawiya, who said, "Hilal bin Amir Muzani narrated to me, from his father," and he mentioned it.This is how Abu Muawiya narrated it, making it part of the musnad of Amir bin Amr Muzani, Hilal's father. Others narrated it making it part of the musnad of Rafi bin Amr Muzani, as I have clarified in the book on Hajj. This does not significantly affect the soundness of the body of the hadith, since it is only a matter of uncertainty between two companions.
