The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every person has three companions. One companion says, 'Whatever you spend, you have it, and whatever you keep, it is not yours.' That is his wealth. Another companion says, 'I am with you, but when you reach the door of the King, I will leave you and return.' That is his family and servants. Then there is a companion who says, 'I am with you wherever you enter and wherever you go out.' That is his deeds. So he says, 'You were the least important of the three to me,'" or he said, "'to you.'"
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لكل إنسان ثلاثة أخلاء، فأما خليل فيقول: ما أنفقت فلك، وما أمسكت فليس لك، فذلك ماله، وأما خليل فيقول: أنا معك، فإذا أتيت باب الملك تركتك ورجعت، فذاك أهله وحشمه، وأما خليل فيقول: أنا معك حيث دخلت وحيث خرجت، فذلك عمله، فيقول: إن كنت لأهون الثلاثة علي، أو قال: عليك.

Abu Dawud Tayalisi (2125) and Bazzar (7265) both narrated it through the route of Imran, from Qatada, from Ishaq, who mentioned it. Ibn Hibban (3108) and Hakim (1/371) both graded it sahih, both through the route of Abu Dawud Tayalisi, from Imran, with the same wording. Its chain is hasan because of Imran, who is Ibn Dawar Qattan, whose hadith is hasan.
