The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, this world is sweet and green. Whoever takes from it by its rightful means, Allah will bless him in it. But many a one who plunges recklessly into the wealth of Allah and His Messenger will have nothing but the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, the day he meets Him."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن الدنيا حلوة خضرة، فمن أخذ بحقها يبارك الله له فيها، ورب متخوض في مال الله ورسوله له النار يوم القيامة يوم يلقاه.
Bukhari related it in Tarikh al-Kabir (1/190), Ibn Abu Asim in Al-Ahad wal-Mathani (3297), and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (24/340), all of them through routes going back to Khalid bin Salama Makhzumi, (24/340) from Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Harith, from his paternal aunt Amrah bint Harith, who said, then she mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Khalid bin Salama Makhzumi, for his hadith is hasan. Haythami also graded it hasan in Al-Majmu (10/247).
