Abdullah bin Shaqiq reported,

I stayed in Madinah with Abu Hurairah for a year. One day, while we were near the chamber of Ayesha, he said to me, "You should have seen us. We had no clothes except worn-out striped cloaks. Days would pass when one of us could not find food enough to keep his back straight, to the point that one of us would take a stone and tie it against the hollow of his belly, fastening it with his garment to hold himself upright. One day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed some dates among us, and each one of us received seven dates, one of which was dried and shriveled. It would not have pleased me to have a good date in its place."I asked, "Why not?"He answered, "Because it gave me more to chew on."Then he said to me, "Where have you come from?"I replied, "From Sham."He asked, "Did you see the stone of Musa?"I said, "What is the stone of Musa?"He said, "The Children of Israil said something offensive about Musa, claiming there was a defect concealed beneath his clothing in his private parts. One day, he placed his clothes on a rock while he was bathing, and the rock ran off with his clothes. Musa chased after it, calling out, 'Stone, give back my clothes! Stone, give back my clothes!' until it brought him out before the Children of Israil. They saw him perfectly formed and well-built. He then struck the stone three times. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Abu Hurairah, had you looked at it, you would have seen the marks of Musa's blows upon it."

Sahih
