Fatimah brought a piece of bread to the Prophet ﷺ, and he asked, "What is this piece of bread, Fatimah?"She replied, "It is a loaf I baked, and my soul would not let me rest until I brought you this piece of it."He said, "This is the first food to enter your father's mouth in three days."
أن فاطمة جاءت بكسرة خبز إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: ما هذه الكسرة يا فاطمة؟ قالت: قرص خبزتهن فلم تطب نفسي حتى أتيتك بهذه الكسرة، فقال: أما إنه أول طعام دخل فم أبيك منذ ثلاثة أيام.

Ibn Saad related it in Tabaqat (4001), and Tabarani in Kabir (1/232), both through Hisham bin Abdul-Malik Abu Walid Tayalisi, who said, "Abu Hashim, the saffron merchant, informed us, saying, 'Muhammad bin Abdullah informed us that Anas bin Malik told him,'" and he related it. Its chain is hasan because of Abu Hashim, whose name is Ammar bin Ammarah, and Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abu Sulaym, since both of them make the hadith hasan.Ahmad also related it (13223) from Abdul-Samad (that is, bin Abdul-Warith), who said, "Ammar Abu Hashim, the saffron merchant, told us, from Anas bin Malik," and he related something similar. Its chain is disconnected, because Ammar bin Ammarah did not hear directly from Anas.
